KL Rahul was like a man on a mission. After a tough IPL 2024, Rahul took himself to another level and produced a bag full of runs in this season's Indian Premier League. After the conclusion of the tournament, he joined the India 'A' team in the UK only to get accustomed to the English weather and conditions.

After the retirements of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli from the Test format, KL Rahul became the most experienced full-time player in the present squad. Ravindra Jadeja is there, but he counts as a spin-bowling all-rounder.

In the first match against England, scheduled to start on June 20, team India's first XI can contain multiple emerging faces like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sai Sudharsan.
