Chennai Super Kings (CSK) crunched Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match 67 of IPL 2025 with a mammoth 83-run victory. Batting first, CSK put up a towering total of 230/5 in 20 overs, leaving GT with a monumental chase. The Titans crumbled under scoreboard pressure and were bowled out for 147 in 18.3 overs.
CSK scored a mammoth 230/5 in 20 overs, with fireworks during the innings. Ayush Mhatre scored a quick 34 off 17 With a massive over (2, 6, 6, 4, 4, 6). Dewald Brevis hit 57 off 23 balls, Devon Conway scored 52 off 35 balls, and Urvil Patel scored 37 off 19 balls to lead CSK to one of the highest scores of the season. The Titans bowlers actually did fairly well to limit the run scoring but were not discriminant enough when it came to changing up. Prasidh Krishna had the best bowling statistics with 2/22 off 4 overs. Shahrukh Khan played a supporting role with 1/13 off his single over. Sai Kishore took a wicket, but his economy was poor when he gave up 23 runs off 2.
Chasing down a large target, GT was bowled out for 147 in 18.3 overs, giving CSK a comfortable 83-run victory. Sai Sudharsan tried to solidify the innings with 41 runs off 28, while Arshad Khan (20 runs off 14) and Shahrukh Khan (19 runs off 15) offered resistance as well, but GT's run chase fell significantly short. Anshul Kamboj delivered a serious performance with the ball, with bowling statistics of 3/13 off 2.3 overs. Noor Ahmad backed that up with 3/21 off 4 overs, while Ravindra Jadeja was economical and effective, delivering 2/17 off 3 overs.

Dewald Brevis (Player of the Match): "I am happy and enjoying the game like a child. I told myself to just be calm and do what the team needed. Test cricket is the ultimate goal for me, but I am happy to contribute. It is a privilege for people to compare me with AB de Villiers. I would rather they say I am Dewald Brevis' as a player."
MS-Dhoni (CSK Captain): "A nearly perfect game in every department. I am still not 100% sure on my future—I won’t make a quick decision. It’s hard to take a back seat and take my time when I need to go home. Age doesn’t matter as much as fitness and hunger. Young players have stepped up, and once Ruturaj is back, we will feel more settled. And I definitely am starting to feel old!"
Noor Ahmad (Purple Cap, CSK): "It was nice to finish the season well, even though the season overall wasn't great for me. My favorite wicket today was the one I bowled. Everyone gave their best, and despite the ups and downs, that's cricket."
Shubman Gill (GT Captain): "We lost the game in the powerplay. It’s not easy chasing 230 runs, and we failed to cope with the pressure. The middle overs continue to hurt us, especially with a lack of breakthroughs. Tough to take at the moment, but looking forward to playing in Mohali again, my home ground."
