In Qualifier 2 of the IPL 2025, Punjab Kings vs Mumbai Indians (PBKS vs MI) will be played on Sunday evening (June 1) at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The winners of the match will face Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Final of the tournament on Tuesday evening (June 3). It will be their second meeting in the IPL 2025, while Punjab Kings won their league stage meeting of the season in Jaipur last Monday (May 26) by seven wickets with nine balls remaining after successfully chasing the 185-run target.
After finishing as the IPL 2025 points table leaders, Punjab Kings suffered an eight-wicket thrashing defeat against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Qualifier 1, where PBKS were bundled out for only 101 runs. Later, the fourth-placed Mumbai Indians recorded a 20-run win against the third-placed Gujarat Titans in the Eliminator after scoring 228 runs.

In the Punjab Kings' squad, leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, the third leading wicket-taker for the team in the IPL 2025, is working for his return after missing three games due to wrist injury, including the Qualifier 1. He bowled during Saturday practice. Apart from Chahal, there is unlikely to be any significant change in the squad.
On the other hand, Mumbai Indians are looking at the fitness of Deepak Chahar and Richard Gleeson. If both fail, English pacer Reece Topley can earn the call-up.
Punjab Kings Predicted Playing XI: Prabhsimran Singh/Yuzvendra Chahal (Impact Players Sub), Priyansh Arya, Shreyas Iyer (Captain), Josh Inglis, Azmatullah Omarzai, Marcus Stoinis, Nehal Wadhera, Shashank Singh, Kyle Jamieson, Arshdeep Singh, Harpreet Brar
