Which team will face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the final of IPL 2025? The situation will be crystal clear today (June 1) at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. After the defeat against RCB, Punjab Kings (PBKS) will now lock horns with Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Qualifier 2 match to discover a passage through to the summit.
As there is no reserve day for this highly anticipated match, cricket fans are curious to know about what will happen if the match is not played as per the schedule, especially when there is no extra date to shift the competition.
In the ongoing Indian Premier League, multiple matches were washed out or affected by rain. So is there any chance rain will again play the spoilsport during the PBKS vs. MI game? And what is the rule if the match does not happen?

According to the rules, if the Qualifier 2 game does not conclude as per the schedule, then the higher-ranked team between these two will be directly promoted to the final. In the current scenario, Shreyas Iyer's PBKS finished their group stage as the table topper, so if the match at Ahmedabad does not take place, then Punjab will find a place in the final against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
But good news for the cricket fans: there is no forecast for rain in Ahmedabad. As per the weather forecast, during the start of the match, the temperature can be around 32° Celsius, and clouds can be there in the sky but not rain. In fact, according to the weather update, there are no signs of rain in the upcoming few days in Ahmedabad.
