In Match 8 of the 2025 Major League Cricket at Oakland Coliseum, Washington Freedom outplayed Los Angeles Knight Riders in every department to win by a huge margin of 113 runs.

After winning the toss, Washington chose to bat and scored big total to win easily. Glenn Maxwell was in good form, hitting106 runs in just 49 balls. He smashed boundaries and sixes and set the for a team and big total to win the match easily. Mitchell Owen added a quick 32 off 11 balls, while Mark Chapman chipped in with 17 runs. Washington finished with a strong score of 208 for 5 in 20 overs.

Corne Dry and Tanveer Sangha picked up two wickets each for the Knight Riders, but they couldn’t stop the flow of runs. Chasing 209, Los Angeles Knight Riders struggled from the start. Only Saif Badar (32 off 31) and Jason Holder (23 off 16) showed some fight. The rest of the batting line-up fell apart quickly, and they were bowled out for just 95 runs in 16.3 overs.

Washington’s bowlers were brilliant Jack Edwards and Mitchell Owen took three wickets each, and Saurabh Netravalkar was outstanding with 2 for just 6 runs in 3.3 overs. It was a dominant all-round show by Washington Freedom, who walked away with a massive win.
