In Match 19 of the 2025 Maharashtra Premier League (MPL), played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune, Satara Warriors (STW) achieved a rain-reduced win over Ratnagiri Jets (RJ) by 14 runs (DLS method). Satara Warriors chose to bowl first and restrained RJ to a small total. Their aggressive beginning with the bat put them in front of the DLS par score before the rain shortened the match.
Batting first, Ratnagiri Jets scored 146/9 in 20 overs. Kiran Chormale scored the highest with a mature 52 off 41 balls, while Abhishek Pawar contributed a quick 25 off only 10 deliveries to accelerate the scoring in the death overs. The lower half of the batting order couldn't offer much resistance. Satara Warriors bowled with restraint—Rajvardhan Hangargekar was the pick of the bowlers with 3/14 in 4 overs and was well complemented by Vaibhav Chougalle (2/18) and Samadhan Pangare (2/29) to restrict the Jets to a paltry total.
Satara Warriors, in response, were going along at 116/4 in 14.4 overs when rain came into the picture. Pavan Shah led the charge in the chase with a quick 45 off 22 balls, while Aniket Porwal added 27 off 24. Anirudh Sable contributed 17 off 14 as STW remained handsomely above the DLS par score. Despite a spirited effort by RJ's Satyajeet Bachhav (3/13), the top-order momentum of the Warriors was sufficient to win the game by 14 runs under the DLS system, keeping their campaign alive in style.
