Post the conclusion of the IPL 2025 season, MS Dhoni, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) legend, was seen on a Kawasaki bike in his hometown, Ranchi. The 43-year-old ex-Indian skipper, who was wearing a grey t-shirt, black tracks, and a helmet, was seen gliding along with a backpack, showing off his well-established love for bikes. Fans were thrilled as images of Dhoni’s ride went viral on social media, showcasing his love for biking as a way to unwind post the high-intensity IPL season.
IPL 2025 was tough for CSK, with the team finishing at the bottom of the points table for the first time in their history. Dhoni, who took over captaincy from Ruturaj Gaikwad due to the latter’s injury, led CSK in nine matches, securing just three wins. His batting contribution was modest, scoring 196 runs in 13 innings at an average of 24.50 and a strike rate of 135.17. Despite the team’s struggles, Dhoni’s leadership remained a cornerstone for CSK, endearing him to fans.
Dhoni’s bike rides in Ranchi have become a post-IPL ritual, reflecting his grounded personality. A viral Instagram post captured the moment, with fans flooding the comments, celebrating their “Thala” enjoying life off the cricket field. His love for bikes is no secret, and such sightings reinforce his relatable, down-to-earth charm.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) had a forgettable season of IPL, going down as the first team to be knocked out of playoff contention and finishing last in the table in the end. They managed only four victories in 14 matches, and the season was concluded with a mere eight points, losing ten games. But they ended the season on a positive note, winning a comprehensive 83-run game against Gujarat Titans in their last league match.

MS Dhoni, who was retained during the pre-season for ₹4 crore as an uncapped player, had a low-key outing. He scored 196 runs in 13 games at an average of 24.50 and a strike rate of 135.17. His performance and position in the team attracted flak, but in spite of all the talk, indications are that Dhoni will come back to CSK for yet another season.
