Eagle Thane Strikers (ETS) won by 36 runs over SOBO Mumbai Falcons (SBMF) in Match 16 of Mumbai T20 League 2025 at Wankhede Stadium. With this victory, ETS is the first team to qualify for the playoffs, followed by SBMF and MSCMR.
Batting first, Eagle Thane Strikers scored a gritty 151/8 in 20 overs. Sairaj Patil stole the show with a scorching 61 from just 37 deliveries, holding the innings together steadfastly. Vinay Suresh Kumar was perfectly backing him up with a handy 39 from 25 deliveries. Captain Atharva Ankolekar also contributed 26 from 24 in the middle overs.
Among SOBO bowlers, Harsh Aghav impressed with 3/30 from his 4-over spell. Nikhil Giri (2/38) and Yash Dicholkar (1/17) too were not out of action as they contributed to containing the scoring during the death overs.
In response, SOBO Mumbai Falcons struggled under the pressure of the scoreboard and were bowled out for 115 in 15.4 overs. There was some resistance from captain Shreyas Iyer with a 14-ball 25, while Akash Parkar (19 off 18) and Ishan Mulchandani (15 off 8) were the only other two batsmen who could reach double figures.
Sairaj Patil complemented his batting performances with an outstanding bowling spell, taking 4/19 off 3.4 overs. Captain Atharva Ankolekar also chipped in with the ball, picking up 3/35. Shashikant Kadam completed the bowling performance with a clean 1/19.
