Namo Bandra Blasters (NBB) achieved a convincing 8-wicket win over Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals (MSCMR) in Match 17 of the T20 Mumbai League 2025 at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai. After winning the toss, NBB captain Aditya Tare put Mumbai South Central Batting first, which was a great decision, as they restricted MSCMR and chased down the target in 15.4 overs.
Batting first, MSCMR registered 150/8 in 20 overs. Sahil Jadhav led the way with a blistering 50 off 32 balls, ably assisted by Aditya Dhumal (30 off 18) and Chinmay Sutar (27 off 22). The team was unable to forge huge partnerships despite the impressive starts, owing to an outstanding bowling display by Namo Bandra Blasters. Dhrumil Matkar led the way with the ball, taking 4/26 in his 4 overs. He was assisted quite well by Sagar Chabria (2/24) and Dhanit Raut (1/31), who kept the scoring rate in check.
In response, NBB pursued the target at ease, scoring 151.5 in 15.4 overs. Suved Parkar scored a scorching 76 in 37 deliveries, while Vikrant Auti settled the chase with 56 in 37 balls. The two combined to post a match-winning stand, and there were no bumps in the pursuit. In spite of a few wickets from Vaibhav Mali and Yash Ajay Gadia, MSCMR was unable to check the momentum of the Blasters. With this thorough victory, Namo Bandra Blasters qualified for the playoffs and improved their net run rate.
